Women's Fitness Collective

Janine

I have always been active and involved in fitness in one way or the other over the years. In the warmer months you will find me running, playing slo-pitch, completing mud runs, while in the winter I take my workouts indoors with weightlifting, yoga etc. Like many women today, I have struggled to fit fitness into my life. I'm a mom to 3 children, married, I work full-time, and I am completing my Master's. It is hard to ensure we find time to look after ourselves. I find fitness is one of the ways I take care of my mental and physical health, as well as being a good roll model to my children, so I have made it a priority in my day; I want to help bring this mindset to the people I coach.

I started teaching fitness a number of years ago when I coached learn to run groups. Those changed into weekly boot camps out of the Legion here in town. I stopped my boot camp in 2020 when I returned to school. I joined a challenge with Shelley this fall (2021) and found results both on the scale and in my fitness gains. I also realized I missed coaching and now here I am, starting to facilitate classes again.

I love helping people realize their potential, watch them grow, challenge themselves and push beyond what they thought possible, and learning and growing myself from the people I am working with.

I am excited to be apart of the GFS family and bringing my enthusiasm for fitness to this amazing group of women.
